Background

TELETEXT was confronted with an ever-changing media landscape: information had to be available anytime and anywhere. TELETEXT therefore opened new channels which offered the public the option to catch up on the news on the go on their mobile phones, as well as on their TV screen, and on their PC at the office.

Implementation

PC and mobile devices are ultimately nothing more than small TV screens. With the approach of ensuring, as far as possible, a 1:1 mirroring of the classic TV teletext on the web and on mobile devices, the public can access the required information directly via the well-known page number and consume “the key points in brief”.

Result

The use of digital services has increased ten-fold within a very short time. For the public, TELETEXT was once available at any time and anywhere – and still is today.
