The hub is based on three pillars: community, joint research and funding. The aim is to develop regionally innovations for public broadcasting and to connect them Europe-wide. The Future Media Hub is aimed at CTOs, CIOs, and project leaders from the fields of broadcasting, artificial intelligence and accessibility. In collaboration with international partners such as RAI and Vatican Radio, concrete solutions are developed: from AI-powered accessibility and secure warning systems, to the new Safe Context LLM and resilient live production.

RSI acts as an innovation hub in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Activities are supported through EU-programmes and Innosuisse. The Hub is open to co-creators from editorial teams, technology, research and society. Hackdays, co-creation, community dialogue should encourage knowledge transfer – online and on-site.
