Innovation TEMS: Trusted European Media Data Space
TEMS - the acronym stands for Trusted European Media Data Space - is a shared project run by 43 organisations that represent hundreds of stakeholders from the culture and creative sector, with the aim of designing and implementing a shared media data space across Europe.
In brief TEMS
The initiative is supported by the European Commission’s “Digital Europe” (DIGITAL) programme and is a central pillar in the implementation of European data strategy. With an investment of 16.5 million euros, the consortium will set new standards in the manner in which the media sector can jointly use data and obtain an added value from this.
Description Aims and implementation
In concrete terms, TEMS will pave the way for the large-scale use of the most modern services, infrastructures and platforms and will address issues such as the fight against misinformation, audience analysis, production chains for data streams and supporting the introduction of AI and Virtual Reality technologies.
TEMS will develop further existing media platforms, embryonic data space infrastructures and services and provide open access to a shared data space, which will support the digital transformation and improve the competitiveness of the European media industry.
