Publishing sports results within seconds and video content (video streaming, live streaming, VoD, integration into the video player) place high demands on the infrastructure. The 3 television stations SRF, RTS and RSI have decided to operate a shared national sports results centre.

Background

SRG offers a comprehensive online service for sports results, which must be published quickly, in a technologically reliable manner and around the clock, on the various online products of SRG. For this, a high-performing publication platform is required, which enables efficient and reliable sports coverage for sports editors.

Implementation

SWISS TXT has developed an individual editorial and publication platform for online sports coverage. This enables real-time publication on over 20 different channels (websites, mobile apps, news ticker, TV apps) and covers around 70 different types of sports and leagues, each with game mode. The platform enables fully-automated publication of basic information such as results and goals, to ease the burden of the editorial teams.

Result

The public receives current and reliable sports information in real time. Thanks to automation, the burden of the editorial teams is eased and they can rely on a flexible solution that can be connected relatively easily to new channels (e.g. HbbTV).
